Grid Connected: A Little Interest Check

Hey everybody. Zoki here with an odd idea, hoping she doesn't get in over her head again. But I think I can make this work if it's kept light and fun. We're all mature adults, right?

So the basic premise of this sandbox/psl/shenanigan-ing is that the world's in danger, again. And clearly the solution to any problem in this world is to throw brightly-colored heroes with giant mecha at it, regardless of their experience level in combat, weapon use, or piloting.

Basically, we're recruiting people of any age and species with any level of attitude. Some of these choices may or may not be the greatest, but we all have to learn to work together to survive.

Setting/Premise:
The story takes place in Angel Grove, California, in 2023. Veteran Power Ranger and tech mogul Billy Cranston is on a quest to revive his old friend and mentor Zordon, but there's one problem: his attempt to gather the grid's energy sucked in a group of wayward beings from other times and other worlds instead.

And then there's a second problem: his device created an opposite reaction on the side of evil, and energy on that side of the struggle is rising too. Lord Zedd has been reborn, and he's looking for recruits on his side of the coming war....

Applicable characters:
Any, as long as you think they're suitable for the setting! Canon PR characters from other times/universes or aged up to 2023, Sentai, any other canon, OCs, alternate universes...go wild.

Personality blurb: Y'know that grabby McGuffin that's not as good of an idea to keep around as it seems? Either a hero (or another villain!) picked it up without asking, or it just shows up in someone's backyard and is impossible to send away through normal levels of effort. (suggestions for specific banishment criteria are appreciated. |D)

Other powers: Very clingy. And even when it seems physically improbable for it to stay in one piece, it does.

Non-powered skills: Full disclosure, my pitch is 'play an AI un-companion, or a book. Something that doesn't look like it's a character, but it absolutely thinks and has opinions.' Contrary to my usual schtick, however, it is not a friendly, either summoning bad luck or is selectively painful to be around.
