Wherever you were, whatever you were doing? You feel a strange electric sensation coursing throughout your body one moment, and the next: you're dissolving into a pillar of light.
Your molecules reconstruct themselves in the middle of a bright suburban park full of flat green fields and classy pavilions. A lake shimmers in the distance, kids play on a playground over the small hill...and other people are teleporting in all around you, each appearing in a flash of light dominated by a specific bright neon color.
Where are you? What's going on? No one's on hand to answer your question immediately...
First Fight
If you linger at the park long enough, you might hear an unsettling noise. The chatter coming toward you almost sounds like a chorus of gobbling turkeys? Some strange clay humanoid shapes advance on you menacingly, and they seem intent on capturing the new arrivals. Better figure out a way to break them, and fast.
The Juice Bar
Exhausted from that weirdness? You might make your way to the Angel Grove Youth Center, Gym, and Juice Bar, which serves patrons of all ages despite the name. Inside you'll find a counter offering smoothies and light snacks---they're used to strange occurrences, so the offworlders will be offered refreshment despite not being able to pay. You just might be asked to teach a class on something like martial arts, sports, or a relaxing hobby, or help someone learn the gym equipment. Yes, it really is that neon and 80s-looking in 2023. Nobody seems to mind.
Recruiting a Team...
Wherever you choose to go in this relatively peaceful suburban town, you'll eventually feel that strange tingling of electricity again. You'll appear in a strange futuristic underground facility, surrounded by monitors showing Earth and surrounding planets. There's a middle-aged man dressed in blue and khaki on one end of the room who doesn't look at all confused, a look of quiet resignation on his face. Ready for some answers?
First Morph
Hopefully you stayed to listen to Billy's explanation, but ready or not, you now have a Power Morpher in your hand. Or on your belt, or wrist. Maybe sunglasses. There's a mishmash of powers in play here. Whatever you have, you'd better figure out a morphing call fast! There's a phrase involved, or something...? Time to try on the not-spandex and charge in, feeling the surge of adrenaline and power that will help you fight.
Uh, because there's a monster with a phone embedded in its body rampaging across the city. It has the power to put its enemies 'on hold', freezing them in place...which is going to make this a lot more complicated. Better work on a plan, quick!

Then, of course, the inevitable happens: someone's made that monster grow. Dial Dude is now the size of a skyscraper, about to stomp down the business district! But you have a giant mech at your disposal to call, and piloting it should be second nature, even if you've never driven so much as a bumper car before. Ready, go!

Or maybe you've landed in a palace on the moon overlooking Earth. The air here is colder, oppressive...there's something else you've been recruited to do.
Someone is coming to give you your mission.
Time to make some trouble...
You've been briefed on your targets: their names, faces. You've been granted the power to teleport down and observe them...and when the time is right, do your best to capture them! If you can retrieve enough power for Lord Zedd, you'll be rewarded handsomely...but be warned. The Rangers can be slippery foes. Try the park, the juice bar, the mall...those brightly colored weirdos could be anywhere.
